Last week, Google announced that it would be making changes to the AdWords display URL policy on 1 April 2008.This will impact affiliates marketers and online businesses alike.  And hence, I decided to get more details on this.

There were a few confusion on what was the changes and I found the following summary by Barry Schwartz to the the most clear and accurate.

Here it is (direct from Google reply to Barry)

Display URL Policy:
To ensure a positive user experience, we require that your ad’s display URL match its destination URL (the URL of your landing page). We monitor and do not allow ads with display URLs that redirect to different destination URLs.

For example, if your destination URL is www.Google.com, your display URL must also be www.Google.com. The following would not be acceptable display URLs for an ad for www.Google.com:

  • www.Google.co.uk - this URL leads to a different site
    .
  • www.Gogle.com - this URL simply redirects to www.Google.com
    .
  • www.Gooogle.com - this URL leads to a page showing content identical to www.Google.com

We do not allow the use of multiple domains or branding and vanity URLs. Please also be aware that we do not permit multiple ads from the same or related company, person or agency to appear on the same search results page. For more information on our Double Serving Policy, please visit https://adwords.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?answer=14179.

Tracking URLs
We understand that many advertisers utilize tracking URLs within the destination field of their ads. If the URL of your landing page matches that of your Display URL, your ads will be approved.

Do you want endless free traffic?? Then do this…

February 19th, 2008    Subscribe To Our Feed

So how do you get endless targeted traffic to your sites?

You can of course buy traffic. Adwords can send you all the
traffic you need, but at what cost?

You can also beg other marketers to send you traffic (JV’s,
affiliates, etc.)

Or you could become a Search Engine Optimizing pro to get
traffic.

That’s a lot of fun ;-)

You can do all those things, but after you read this email, you
may never look at traffic generation the same way again.

As you know, the Internet has changed dramatically in the last
few years.

No change has had a greater impact than web 2.0.

Web 2.0 could be called the second-generation of the Internet.

The first generation was basically a random collection of sites
that could be viewed but allowed little or no interaction by the
user. (Sort of like reading a book)

Now we have things such as social networking sites, wikis,
communication tools, and folksonomies that let people collaborate
and share information. (Sort of like helping to WRITE the book.)

Visitors are no longer just viewers, they’ve become online
do’ers.

Here’s the cool part…

ALL of these Web 2.0 gizmos, gadgets and sites (and there are
MANY) can be used to drive traffic to your sites… for FREE.

The trick?

As with anything, the trick is in KNOWING what to do.

If you’re willing to invest several months in painstaking
research and trial and error testing, you should discover at
least a few of the many Web 2.0 traffic generating secrets that
will flood your websites with visitors…

or…

You could find someone who is already generating MASSIVE amounts
of traffic to MANY sites using Web 2.0 tactics, discover exactly
WHAT he knows, and then…

…simply do what he does!

Chris Freville tried all the old tricks of the web to get traffic
to his site.

He worked hard at it, used all the proven techniques he could
find, and still had lousy results.

Do you know why?

Because the methods he was using were OUTDATED.

What worked in 2003 wasn’t working in 2005. And what was working
in 2006 isn’t working now.

Then Chris started playing with Web 2.0.

He noticed his traffic increased.

His sales increased.

This was working!

So he threw everything he had into learning everything possible
about Web 2.0, and how to squeeze every bit of traffic out of it
that he could.

Result?

He now has NUMEROUS websites, every single one of which is
getting terrific, ongoing, never ending traffic, and making sales
(and money) for Chris DAILY!

He’s making a financial KILLING!

Good for us, Chris is going to share his secrets this week.

He’s compiled every one of his Web 2.0 tricks and secrets into
“Web 2.0 Traffic Stampede,” and it’s available right now…

P.S. In 2005 Chris was struggling online.

Two years later he moved into a 1.1 million dollar home.

What made the difference between struggling financially and that
kind of income?

Just one thing…

…Chris discovered how to drive unlimited, targeted traffic to
his site for FREE, using Web 2.0.

And so can you…

…simply by using the secrets you’ll find in Chris’ “Web 2.0
Traffic Stampede”

Think Conversion, not just traffic

I wanted to tell you of a great resource that I just found that
will teach you two of the most important concepts of your marketing
business:

1. TRAFFIC.
2. CONVERSION.

Most websites will only teach you the first one, which is not
actually as hard as it may sound.

There are tons of ways to drive traffic, but the thing that people
struggle with is not getting more traffic, it’s getting more sales.

How hard would it be to make sales if 1 our of every 10 people who
visited your website purchased?  All you would have to do is start
an Adwords campaign and you’d be making sales!

Unfortunately most people are lucky to make a sale for every 1000
visitors, which makes most traffic too expensive.

Well, this BBOTtrafficclub offers free information on how to improve  onboth sides, and you can get it all at BBOTrafficClub.

Adsense cannot compete with Next Generation Advertisers

December 10th, 2007    Subscribe To Our Feed

A new network of Mega advertisers guarantees that you will
be PAID for 100% of your traffic.

That’s right, Google will soon be second fiddle!

This new form of advertising that is literally going
to change the way you make money online VERY SOON.
Its called Pay-Per-Play (PPP) advertising, and it’s
backed by one of Google’s Biggest competitors!
PPP works on a bid management system similar to Google
AdWords, and will compensate you just like Google
Adsense does, but with the critical difference:
Publishers (web site owners) will earn revenue on 100%
of their traffic… no clicks necessary!

You read that right, 100% conversion of your web
traffic, no clicks required.

It’s quite simple really. You insert a piece of
javascript code - pretty much like Adsense on your
webpages. When a new visitor comes to your site, a 5
second audio ad will automatically play and you get
paid for that 5 second spot. The visitors are NOT
required to click on any links or ads in order for you
to get paid.

Pay Per Play is the brainchild of NetAudioAds - A
company with over 66,000 advertisers and over 550,000
websites that serve PPP ads to their visitors. It has
been in operation since mid 2005. It’s CURRENT
advertisers are Taco Bell, Harley Davidson, & many
other Fortune 500 corporations you hear about daily.

However, what is new is that they have recently
secured the backing of a major search engine (one of
the top 5, most likely either ASK or Lycos) as a
partner, and they are getting ready to launch this
with a HUGE bang in 2008.

It costs you nothing to join and you will earn money
in 2 ways.

* by serving the audio ads on your own websites * by
referring other webmasters to this program

Here’s a quick summary:

* 25% of what the advertiser spends on PPP ads you
serve on your own website(s). * 5% of what the
advertiser spends on PPP ads played on the website(s)
of those you refer. * 5% of what the advertiser spends
on PPP ads played on the website(s) that your direct
referrals bring on board

In other words, it has a 2-tier residual affiliate
program to make it go viral.

If you want to earn from EVERY single visitor to your
website as opposed to only visitors that click on your
Adsense ads, you should check it out now:
