Your Blog Content Into Traffic Pulling Articles
January 25th, 2008    Subscribe To Our FeedArticles are a very popular and easy way of getting
traffic to your blog or website. Articles are popular
because Search Engines, Internet Marketers, website owners,
and ezine publishers are voracious carnivores for fresh,
quality content.
A really good article that informs the reader about a
certain topic qualifies as fresh, quality content.
Therefore if you can create quality articles you can easily
get backlinks and traffic to your website. As a blog owner,
creating quality articles for submission to the major
article directories is very easy because your blog is
already be filled with quality content!
So all you really need to do is take the content from your
blog and package it into 350-500 word articles complete
with a catchy headline. This should realistically only take
you a few minutes. Once you have an article put together
you will then want to submit the article to a few major
article directories. The manual submission of your articles
to directories can be more than a little time consuming.
That’s why we prefer to use isnare.com, a free article
directory submission service and one of the best in our
opinion.
So how do you get traffic from articles?
When you submit an article to the directories you are
allowed to include a link back to your blog or website
along with your personal information in the resource box at
the bottom of your article. The resource box with your blog
url in it turns the readers of your articles (your blog
content) into free traffic. It’s that simple!
Two little known secrets to tripling your traffic from
articles….
In order for people to read your articles you need to give
them a reason to chose your article over someone else’s.
This is where a well written headline comes into play. A
good headline provokes the readers attention and teases
their curiosity. You can write a catchy headline by:
1)Using words like ’secret,’ ‘discover,’ ‘important,’
‘never before seen,’ ‘amazing,’ ‘incredible,’
‘unbelievable,’ shocking truth,’ ‘how to,’ etc.
2)Asking a question.
“Is it possible to….,’
‘Have you seen…,’
‘Why does…,’
‘When is…,’
‘Who is…,’
‘What you don’t know about…,’
‘Can you really…,’ etc.
Avoid writing headlines like these (actual article headlines
taken from ezinedirectory.com):
“Fiberglass Speaker Boxes”
“Internet Usage”
“Essentials of Broadband Routers”
“Legalities of Pollution”
“Innovative Floor Tile Ideas”
Instead, write headlines like these:
“Are Fiber Glass Speaker Boxes Really Worth The Money?”
“The Shocking Truth Behind Internet Usage!”
“What You Don’t Know About Broadband Routers”
“What Are The Legalities Of Pollution?”
“Have You Seen These Innovative Floor Tile Ideas?”
What headlines would get your attention?
Once you have succeeded in getting readers for your
articles you then need to get the all important click thru
to your blog URL. This is very easy to do. Instead of
submitting the entire article to the directories, split the
article in two and submit only a portion of the article. In
the resource box you would then write something like, “Part
2 Of This Article Can Be Found At www.yourblog.com” or “To
View The Rest Of This Article, Please Visit My blog At
www.yourblog.com.” Using a tagline like this instead of the
usual “All Of This And More Can Be Found At…” kind of tag
line practically forces the readers of your articles to
click thru to your blog.
A tip on article splitting….
You want to split the article at a point that will entice
readers to read the rest of your article. You can do this
by going through the article and finding what you believe
to be the most interesting or informative part and
retaining that portion on your blog.
For example, suppose you had written the article above on
innovative floor tile ideas. In order to split the article
you could divide the ideas into a list and retain the top 5
or 10 ideas on your blog. Then you could write a tag line
in your resource box like “For The Top 5 Innovative Floor
Tile Ideas, Please Visit www.yourblog.com.”
If you can create quality articles in a flash you can just
as easily create a stream of traffic to your blog.
The bottom line:
Traffic is the key to your success and as blog owner there
are many different ways you can create a flood of free
traffic.
In 2 days time we’re going to look at a few of the ways you
can turn that traffic into cold hard cash!
Your friends,
Dave and Aaron

More Ways to Build your List through Articles and Affiliates
December 29th, 2007    Subscribe To Our FeedArticles are a great way to make yourself known within your given niche of expertise while building your list absolutely free. Just by the simple fact that you have written an article can give potential customers the idea that you are an expert.
These are not articles you need to get published in the traditional way such as in print magazines, nor do you need to pitch an idea to editor after editor in hopes of one day, one of them may want to publish your article.
Your focus should be on the online publishers of the thousands of ezines on the Internet.
Don’t panic if you are not a writer or have never written articles in the past, it’s not that hard. The key is to pick a topic that is of interest to you and the words will begin to flow. Just make sure the article is relevant to your newsletter, ezine, product or service and is of interest to your readers, or future subscribers.
I recommend a simple formula: who, what, when, where and how. If you answer theses questions, you will end up with an article. Write your articles in a conversational style.
Pretend you are writing to a friend rather than your entire list or a massive online audience. When you are writing a letter to one friend or to an individual person, it often comes across as much more personable. That is very desirable as it helps build that important one-to-one relationship with your subscribers.
Provide a ‘resource box’ at the end of your article. A resource box is a paragraph tagged on at the end of your article that explains to the reader who you are, what you can do for them, how they can get more information (subscribe to your newsletter) and whether or not they have permission to reprint your article.
Promote your articles by submitting it to the article directories. One option is to use a fabulous piece of software called ‘http://www.articlebroadcastpro.com.’ With this software you simply cut and paste your article into the program once. It then facilitates the submission process by submitting your article to all of the top article directories in a fraction of the time it would take to do manually.
You can also contact other newsletter publishers who are in similar or related fields. Other publishers can get writer’s block just like you can or perhaps they don’t know what to write or simply don’t have the time. Whatever the case, they still will need content.
To contact publishers of ezines or newsletters, use any search engine, such as ‘http://google.com/’ or try ‘http://www.directoryofezines.com/.
You can give people who are publishing your articles in their newsletters and on their websites more incentive to do so by asking them to sign up as an affiliate of yours and place their affiliate link at the bottom or your article in your resource box. By providing this link, readers who click on that affiliate link and buy from you, the publisher of that ezine gets a percentage of the sale from that customer.
If you were the publisher and had to choose between publishing an article by an author who’s just providing content or an author who’s providing content and a way for you to make money, which would you choose?

No Secrets….Just Great Content
December 1st, 2007    Subscribe To Our FeedSome marketers and teachers are so obsessed with
getting traffic and selling things that all they ever
do is promote products or talk about how great they
are…Result…Bored subscribers.
Another common problem is promoting so many ads that
it disrupts the reading pleasure of their visitors.
What people want is CONTENT. Content is king. Never
stray from that….relevant content for your subscribers
should be your main focus.
You MUST regularly provide unique, relevant and useful
content that addresses the needs of your readers. That
does not mean you shouldn’t sell… deliver the content
and the selling aspect becomes easy. There is so much
garbage on the net, that people flock to a relevant
source.
It’s all about finding the balance! Learn to use
strategically place affiliate links so that your
prospects don’t feel as though they are being ’sold .
Talk about them first, then find a solution for their
problems and then talk about a solution you found for
them, …then end with a call to action!
You need to keep in touch with your subscribers as
regularly as possible! There are millions of people on
the internet. If you don’t keep in touch with them,
they will most likely forget about you. Trust me.
Don’t ever let this happen to your business! It is
much easier to keep an existing customer or subscriber
than getting a new one. People want to be given the
real ins and outs of what makes you successful. Just
give them real content and the rest will take care of
itself.
