One of the things i Have found most difficult if focus and staying on task.  I have recently downloaded a very useful tool from http://www.simpleology.com that Mark Joiner has made available. I have been following 101 course and would recommend it to others. I have benefited from it and it does do what it says on the tin. Like all other things it only works if you use it and use it correctly. Practice only makes perfect if you are practicing what is right and correct hence bad practice will never make perfect.

11 Life rules by Bill Gates

Bill Gates, love him or hate him, made a recent speech
giving advice on 11 things they do not teach in school.

Here they are:

Rule 1: Life is not fair-get used to it.

Rule 2: The world wont care about your self-esteem. The
world will expect you to accomplish something BEFORE you
feel good about yourself.

Rule 3: You will NOT make 40 thousand dollars a year right
out of high school. You wont be a vice-president with a
car phone, until you earn both.

Rule 4: If you think your teacher is tough, wait till you
get a boss.

Rule 5: Flipping burgers is not beneath your dignity. Your
grandparents had a different word for burger flipping-they
called it opportunity.

Rule 6: If you mess up, its not your parents fault, so
dont whine about your mistakes, learn from them.

Rule 7: Before you save the rain forest from the parasites
of your parents generation, try delousing the closet in
your own room.

Rule 8: In some schools they have abolished failing grades
and theyll give you as many times as you want to get the
right answer. This doesn’t bear the slightest resemblance
to ANYTHING in real life.

Rule 9: Life is not divided into semesters. You dont get
summers off and very few employers are interested in helping
you find yourself. You do that on your own time.

Rule 10: Television is NOT real life. In real life people
actually have to leave the coffee shop and go to jobs.

Less Mass Control and More Self Control

 I know it’s tough to stay focused when everyone
is raving about the next giant product launch
and offering thousands in bonuses just to buy
through their link.

Look…if you can’t stay focused on the basics,
no amount of “advanced” training is going to help.

Why would you want to dish out another $1000 or
$2000 when you don’t even have a basic marketing
system in place.

I’ve seen “Internet Marketing Explained” - it’s an
awesome product!

It takes you from the very beginning and shows you
how to set up a marketing system. But you should
already know how to do that if you’ve a
Proud/Member of Affiliate Cash Secrets and on my
list for any amount of time.

Have you done it?

I’ve seen “Mass Control” - genius marketing!

But it assumes you already have a product, a list,
and joint venture partners lined up.

This is super-advanced stuff and for a guy like me
who already has an online business, it’s pure
Gold!

Do you have a successful business yet?

Do you have a basic system in place?

* Squeeze Page?
* Pre-Sell Page?
* Autoresponder?
* Lead Generator?
* Followup System?
* Front-end Product
* Back-end Products?
* Viral Reports?
* Blog?
* Traffic???

Until you’ve got a system in place, there’s no reason to keep buying stuff. It’s not gonna help until YOU make a commitment to work the plan.

Origins of Motivation

January 30th, 2008    Subscribe To Our Feed

What is motivation? The origins of motivation come from the
Latin word movere to move. Further investigation suggests
that motivation is an inner drive or impulse that causes
someone to take action.

So what is moving you to take action and to go forward? How
do you keep yourself going when life keeps throwing you
curve balls?

After working with hundreds of individuals, I have
discovered that the following 3 simple capacities are great
motivation techniques.

First, why do you want to go forward? You probably have
some dreams that you wish to turn into reality. Years ago I
read somewhere that Goals are dreams with endings.

By having a proven goal setting process supported and
reinforced with a proven goal setting tool will help your
own motivation. I do not use the word self motivation
because that truly is an oxymoron much like time
management.

Second, what is keeping you from moving forward? The simple
answer is probably your Attitudes. Attitudes are literally
habits of thoughts that we have day in and day out. Your
ability to keep these thoughts positive and focused on your
goals will greatly increase your motivation.

Third, how do you overcome the lack of motivation? The
answer is through Self Leadership Skills. These skills are
comprised on strong interpersonal skills necessary for
success both personally and professionally. When you
developed your Self Leadership Skills such as time
management, you can achieve more and therefore realize
greater motivation through those achievements.

Take the time to assess:

* Your goals
* Your attitudes
* Your self leadership skills

and watch your motivation began to soar high. Again, the
simple question is: What do you have to lose by not adding
this G.A.S. to your personal motivation?

All the best,

What 95% of Internet Marketers should learn from Pamela Sue Anderson

December 18th, 2007    Subscribe To Our Feed

Everyone said that Pamela Anderson’s divorce from
gambling tycoon and fellow sex tape star Rick Salomon
was inevitable.

It still is shocking to me that her third marriage was
even shorter than her second.

Her three-month union with Kid Rock last year was
incredibly short, and now Pamela Anderson has filed
for divorce again after just over two months of
marriage.

She divorced Kid Rock about the same time last
year…… Merry %*%&# Christmas.

So what does this have to do with Internet
Marketing……….

Have you committed to a product, only to run off with
the next one even before the honeymoon is over?

Have you cheated with the neighbors product?

Are your indiscretions limited to products or do you
run back and forth between entire marketing categories.

Instead of judging Pamela Anderson, I will look first
at myself and apply the lessons learned to my own
purpose.

Divorce,(jumping to the next guru answer), coupled
with information overload have been my biggest
challenges in moving forward with my Internet success.

For most of you it is the same dilemma or will be!

Learn from Pamela this week and apply it to your
Internet Marketing Business.

Evaluate the programs you have already chosen(ie
married) and be more selective

Work to get to know the program before jumping to the
next one.

Have a great day,

Mike

Mindset and Simpleology

There are really simple and specific things that you can do increase your enthusiasm, motivation, focus and efficiency. The best way to learn what they are (IMHO) is to join Mark Joyner’s Simpleology.com and DO IT!!

The first 30 days are completely free! If you do the complete course, you will be a different person in 90 days time. More positive, more powerful, more confident and a LOT more capable of getting what you want out of life.

DO THIS — Spend just 15 minutes at the beginning of your working day and you will get more done in less time every day. Check it out here.

Stick up a notice board in a place where you will see it often, like over your desk, for example. Put up pictures of all the targets you have set for yourself, all the goals you have and pictures of things that you want! This may seem silly and childish to some, but it is actually VERY powerful, not just because it helps you stay focused on what you want, but because it also helps attract those things to you!

If you think this is a load of nonsense, try it first. I used to think it was nonsense too.
